Jaycie 8th gr. Field Day Fun

I couldn't resist posting this cute picture of Jaycie and her best friends at their 8th grade field day. She had a blast and enjoyed "stuffing" me during the faculty vs. 8th gr. Girls basketball game.
Needless to say I will NOT be posting any pictures from the game.................. LOL

Finally an update

Wow it has been awhile! So sorry. Life for us has changed dramatically. We sold our house, moved into a rent hou
se in downtown Roanoke, Joel has been super busy with his new job, and the end of school craziness!

We have had zero time to figure out what our next move is going to be. We have many areas to pick from but half of them are super expensive. We are in talks with a builder that is in the same neighborhood has the middle school I teach, so that would be great. Plus it is in the middle of Northwest and the new high school that will open in 2015. Jaycie is not sure where she wants to attend. The AMAT Academy she was accepted to is housed at Northwest but all her friends live in the zoned area for the new high school. That decision will be in God's hands!!!

Jaycie had all A's for the entire year and received her UIL 5th place ribbon at the Awards Ceremony on May 23.

Air Max ball is in full swing and we are playing almost every weekend. WE love watching her play, she loves it so we love it!!!

That is all for now! Love to everyone!

Joel and info from TWITTER posting

New job adn other exciting news!

Things have been moving and shaking around The Johnson house lately. As most of you know, Joel is now the Assistant Athletic Director for NISD. Huge promotion and much deserved. Hard to believe he will not be spending long hours after practice doing laundry and writing practice scripts. I am looking forward to what God has in store for him as he embarks on this new journey.

Jaycie is enjoying her last months as an 8th grader. Can't believe our baby will be in high school next year. Look out Northwest High School.  Her select basketball team, Air Max, is practicing 3x a week in preparation for the upcoming tournament season. We are going to be in Round Rock, San Marcos, Frisco, and ending up in Colorado for Nationals. Love seeing her out on the court, playing the game she loves. We are so proud of her and I admire her love for the game. She still looks like her Rha-Rha, with those legs.

We have also sold our house! Our dear friend, Lori Jacobson, is a realtor and has been selling homes left and right. We thought we would give it a shot. Well the sign went up and 24 hours later we had an offer that was $4000 above the asking price. Lori is really good at what she does! We are going to move into a small rent house in downtown Roanoke (which has a pool) and take our time deciding which area we would like to live in. God is good. He will guide us to where we need to live. We will close around April 30th.

I will continue to do my best updating as we take our new adventure. It's always exciting with us!

Love to all! Laynie

It's been awhile!

I got to see my sisters over spring break as we cleared out all of Britt's stuff from her house in Midland. We laughed, cried, and tried to make sense of all the clothing purchases she had made. Shana was beyond the pillar of strength and handled everything with such composure. I am once again in complete awe of her. Dana made us all laugh. Well stories about Dana and her bathroom issues made us all laugh! She is such a good sport!

In the middle of the week, Poppa and Rha-Rha came in town to help watch Eli and Maddie. So we were able to spend time with them and play with the kids. Its funny that we live 3 minutes from Johnny and Kasey and we barely get to see them! Kids are so fun and I of course adore them!

As usual, our family has been very busy! Jaycie is running track and practicing 3x a week with her select basketball team. She loves it.............. so we do too! Joel is coaching the sprint relay and the 4x200 relay. He is gone pretty much every Friday and Saturday to meets. In a few weeks spring football starts again, so I am back to being a football widow! Love staying busy, just means we are closer to the summer!

Hope to have a few pics from this weeks meet of J and her super fast speed!!! LOL We are so proud of her!

We also found out that our precious Courtney and Walt are expecting their first child in October. They will be such great parents. Jaycie is fired up to go and babysit!

Love and hugs to all!
